Job summary

Blue Harlan is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor for its Memphis distribution center. This hands-on leadership role will drive inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, and oversee a dedicated team to ensure operational excellence in the warehouse.

The ideal candidate has experience in inventory control or related warehouse environments, with strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with WMS/ERP systems. First shift, Monday–Friday, on-site in Memphis.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain environments.
• Experience leading or supervising inventory teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate root causes.
• Experience with WMS, ERP, or inventory management software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all inventory control activities to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity across the distribution center.
• Develop and manage cycle count schedules to meet accounting, audit, and operational requirements.
• Oversee annual physical inventory processes and reporting.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Monitor inventory exceptions, shortages, damaged goods, and transitional inventory.
• Research and resolve purchase order and receiving discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory reports and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
• Collaborate with operations, accounting, and leadership teams to communicate inventory performance and results.
• Supervise and coach Inventory Control team members/Cycle Counters to achieve operational goals.
• Support warehouse safety initiatives and maintain forklift certification as needed.

• Prior experience leading or supervising inventory teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate root causes and implement solutions.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, or ERP platforms.
• Comfortable working with inventory reports, cycle counts, audits, and data reconciliation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
