Job summary

Flex is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor based in Pflugerville Austin, Texas. The role reports to Anuhar Alaffa and oversees the warehouse inventory, including receiving, storage, counting, and shipping activities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor degree with about 3 years in materials or MRP-related work, plus leadership abilities to supervise staff and coordinate with purchasing. The position is full-time and rooted in a global procurement and supply chain function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 3 years of materials experience or experience using MRP systems or related field.
• Experience supervising inventory control operations.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains the inventory of the warehouse and supervises receiving, storing, inventory, holding and shipping.
• Coordinates physical inventories and investigates variances; adjusts records as needed.
• Coordinates delivery/pick up of materials from supply room.
• Manages recalls and return shipments; communicates damages to manufacturer.
• Supervises inventory control personnel to achieve objectives.
• Provides backup to purchasing agent if necessary.
• Communicates with associates and customers to accomplish objectives.
• Shift priorities as needed.

Job Summary

Summary:

The “Inventory Control Supervisor” will be based in Pflugerville Austin, Texas reporting to Anuhar Alaffa.

What a typical day looks like:

Operates and maintains the inventory of the warehouse. Supervises and coordinates receiving, storing, inventory, holding and shipping product.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Reviews and monitors the timely confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventory, outbound shipments, and book adjustment transactions to ensure accurate inventory management records.
• Coordinates and performs the taking of physical inventories in accordance with the manufacturers’ requirements, investigates inventory variances; directs the performance of daily/weekly cycle accounts and adjusts inventory records if necessary.
• Coordinates delivery/pick up of materials from supply room, if exists.
• Coordinates the activities associated with product recalls upon request.
• Monitors the activities associated with customer return shipments including overages, shortages and damages; communicates concealed damages to manufacturer.
• Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring it is accounted for and properly handled by dumping, reconditioning, or returning to producing plant.
• Supervises all inventory control personnel, if any, to achieve objectives relating to inventory control management, provides communication and suggests inventory improvements to supervisor.
• Provides back up to purchasing agent, if necessary.
• Keys receipts of materials, if necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Effectively communicate with associates and customers in person and via telephone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary objectives
• Effectively review performance of subordinates, if any, to ensure compliance to requirements.
• Must be able to shift priorities easily.

Education/Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 3 years of materials experience or experience using Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or related field.
