Job summary

Safelite is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to join our fulfillment center team in the US. You will conduct daily inventory counts, use RF scanners, and support audits to ensure precise counts for customer needs.

Weekend shift is Saturday–Monday, 6:00am–6:30pm, with a pay rate of $21.50/hr. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and paid training to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Weight limit of 300 pounds for order picker use.
• Some inventory control experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with a solutions mindset.
• Ability to operate MHE equipment and adapt to various conditions.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in WMS.
• Perform internal audits to verify part numbers and quantities.
• Support special inventory projects and physical part moves.
• Follow up on quality alerts and related processing items.
• Maintain PPE and a clean, safe work area.
• Fulfill other assigned duties.

What You'll Do

• Complete daily physical inventory count assignments using an RF scanner and material handling equipment (MHE) including an order picker raised up to 40 feet.

• Assist in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies in WMS software.

• Perform internal audits as necessary to verify part numbers, quantity, or process effectiveness.

• Participate in special inventory scenarios or projects as needed, including physical part moves using MHE equipment.

• Follow up on quality alerts or notifications and handle processing, packaging, and completion of action items.

• Adhere to all safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

• Maintain a secure and clean work area.

• Fulfill other assigned duties.

What You'll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds.

• Some inventory control experience preferred, but not required.

• Experience and knowledge using Microsoft programs including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• A solutions mindset with excellent attention to detail.

• Experience or willingness to learn how to operate MHE equipment.

• Comfortable with working in various environmental conditions, such as seasonal heat or cold, and staying in a stationary position for long shifts.

• Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

• Punctuality and consistent attendance to help your teammates.

• Positive attitude with a focus on exceptional service.
