Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Receiving Associate in Maryland to manage merchandise flow, verify counts against records, and promote strong customer service. The role involves backroom maintenance, 5S adherence, and collaboration with store management and vendors.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and preferably 2+ years in receiving. Pay starts at $15.00/hour and can go up to $22.00/hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or general education degree (GED).
• Preferably two (2) years or more experience in receiving.

Responsibilities

• Oversees vendors bringing merchandise in and out of store.
• Receives, checks, counts and records all incoming merchandise and likewise for outgoing items.
• Verifies counts against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Promotes excellent customer relations and assists customers professionally.
• Ensures product is in saleable condition and rejects damaged items.
• Maintains 5S in backroom, receiving area and store cleanliness.
