Job summary

Express Employment International in Elgin, IL is seeking an Inventory Control / Stock Room Clerk to maintain inventory accuracy, process shipments and receipts, fulfill internal and customer orders, and support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have prior shipping and receiving experience and strong attention to detail.

This temporary-to-hire role requires working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year of shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with ERP inventory systems (SAP, InforVisual) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Pick, pack, and process customer orders and internal work order requests.
• Receive incoming materials, inspect shipments, and complete ERP inventory transactions.
• Process domestic and export shipments using ERP systems and carrier software such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and Remstar vertical lift systems while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
