Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to accurately maintain, track, and report physical inventory.

You will act as a liaison between internal and external customers to ensure accuracy of physical inventory and fiscal accounting. In this role you will use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to improve inventory control, identify quality issues, and drive improvements across all inventory functions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or comparable experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse operations preferred; familiarity with MHE is a plus.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate counts and maintain pallet IDs with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform all inventory functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, proper material handling, and minimal damage.
• Use WMS data to ensure efficient inventory control.
• Identify quality-control issues to minimize recurrence and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities for improvement of all inventory functions and programs.
• Check pallet condition and exchange where necessary.
• Report damage and inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain dock and facility cleanliness and repairs.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storage.
• Operate material handling equipment after training.
• Maintain food safety and housekeeping standards.
