Job summary

Wieland Group in Delaware, OH is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage incoming and outgoing supplies, maintain records for audit purposes, and support on-site operations. This role is based in Delaware, OH with a 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00am–4:30pm) and starting pay of $23 per hour, paid biweekly and adjusted by experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining the inventory system, analyzing stock levels and demand, and coordinating with Purchasing to prevent shortages while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field plus 2+ years of experience in inventory management OR; 8 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
• Power Industrial Truck license and usage will be required.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to meet required deadlines

Responsibilities

• Controls inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill forecasted sales and scheduled distribution plans
• Monitors and updates master schedule to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls
• Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, product demand, and shipment schedules that determine reorder levels and ensure production availability and minimize inventory costs
• Maintains and updates inventory system
• Creates and reviews reports to identify trends or issues and to support or initiate actions and adjustments
• Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
• Schedule categories for Cycle Count inventory and maintain strict records
• Create an efficient space utilization plan
• Notify Purchasing Dept. of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
