Job summary

Porter Logistics in Savannah is hiring an Inventory Specialist to own the accuracy and organization of our warehouse inventory, from cycle counts to discrepancy resolution and WMS recordkeeping. This on-site, full-time role supports across teams and clients by ensuring inventory data is precise and timely.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in a warehouse, high attention to detail, clear communication, basic Excel, and exposure to a WMS system.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment; previous inventory experience required.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Clear, professional communication across internal and external teams.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Previous exposure to a WMS system.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts across client inventory sections to verify accuracy and catch discrepancies early.
• Investigate and resolve differences between physical inventory and recorded levels.
• Update and maintain inventory records in Porter's WMS and reconcile against client WMS systems.
• Partner with warehouse operations, leadership, customer success and clients to address inventory needs and resolve issues.
