Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply in Katy, TX is seeking an Inventory Control professional to support purchasing, item location management and stock integrity within a busy distribution environment.

The role involves coordinating with receiving, vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate stock levels, efficient bin placement and timely handling of stock discrepancies. A background in inventory or purchasing is preferred and alignment with our fast-paced team is essential.

Qualifications

• A college degree in Industrial Distribution, Business Management and/or equivalent industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Detail oriented with excellent communication and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
• Basic inventory/purchasing knowledge including procurement – order points, line points, demand, safety stock, excess and dead stock.

Responsibilities

• Assist manager in clearing Eclipse queues associated with purchasing
• Work closely with receiving department and vendors to solve discrepancies
• Research and assist with processing stock returns
• Update new items for bin locations
• Assist with monitoring non-stock inventory items
• Assist with managing bin locations and changes
