POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist maintains and promotes accuracy of retail store inventory by working with various inventory reports, conducting on-demand inventory audits, and communicating results with store management. This role partners with the sales floor, receiving teams, and retail leadership to maintain inventory accuracy, promote replenishment and sales, while mitigating merchandise loss and shrinkage. The position also provides customer service support throughout the store, including greeting customers, handling merchandise with care, and providing assistance and information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains inventory integrity through cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Performs display and peg scans, completes inventory adjustments.
• Investigates inventory variances and reconciles reports.
• Reviews price change reports and adjusts inventory accordingly.
• Communicates discrepancies and opportunities to store leadership.
• Provides excellent customer service by identifying customer needs and recommending products, including promoting store programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency with inventory systems and reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze and organize data, generate reports, and present findings.
• Effective communication with staff and management.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to use ladders and lifts.
• Regular computer use, walking, sitting, standing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs duties within company policies, uses judgment to adapt guidelines, and makes policy recommendations.
