Job Description Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) supports production by managing raw material inventory, assisting Pullers, and ensuring accurate data entry in the ROSS system. This role organizes packaging and candy supplies, monitors daily production needs, performs inventory transactions, and maintains FIFO practices. The ICS ensures inventory accuracy, communicates shortages, and collaborates with Quality Assurance on shelf-life and quality checks. Bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills, ERP experience, and a strong commitment to safety and GMP standards are essential.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $30.35 - $31.35 hourly, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experienceJob Description:
Responsibilities:
Directing and providing assistance to the Pullers.
Orders raw materials for production belts on a daily basis
Removing materials from the packend.
Providing assistance to Pullers throughout the facility and organizing labels, storing bases and lids when they arrive.
Knowledge of daily production schedule and monitor raw material for kitchen and enrober.
Utilize SKU component information.
Organize kitchen enrober and toffee room to maintain adequate FIFO on packaging and candy.
Maintain floor clear of unused packaging and candy.
Ensure that ROSS system quantities match warehouse location assignments.
Maintain seasonal raw materials and notify supervisors of any discrepancies of any candy quantities on the floor and communicate shortages.
Complete various transactions including transfers, material issues, returns, case and bin transfers, intercompany orders.
Record or document the results of the measurement on the appropriate forms.
Perform escalation to management if actions are unable to achieve specification.
Perform checks and measurements and make adjustments to achieve the quality targets.
Communicate with Quality Assurance for shelf-life extension.
Qualifications:
Must follow all GMP and safety procedures.
Must follow all company policies and guidelines and lead by example.
Excellent attendance record.
Must have great PC skills.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills, English and Spanish.
Basic Math Skills.
ROSS ERP system Experience preferred.
Must be able to use the bluebird for Ross system.
Able to identify, collect and communicate production quality and efficiency data.
Must be able to use electric pallet jack.
Maintain good positive attitude with all departments.
Must be able to maintain clean and safe working area.
Must be able to follow directions.
Must be able to train pullers.
Must be able to work weekends for month end inventory, and overtime as needed.
Maintain accurate inventory of lids and bases.
Physical Qualifications:
Able to individually lift up to 25lbs on daily basis.
Able to individually pull up to 40lbs using the pallet jacks on a daily basis.
Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist throughout duration of shift.
