Job summary

DigiKey is seeking an Inventory Control Associate for an essential on-site role in Minnesota. The job involves conducting perpetual inventory counts, resolving discrepancies, processing internal orders for returns, and liaising with multiple departments to ensure high-quality order fulfillment.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and experience with inventory software. Position features daytime, evening, and 3-12 shift options with competitive pay and site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• Experience with WM software such as Manhattan and KiSoft preferred.
• Previous cycle count or exceptions experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory counts and update computer systems to show correct quantity on hand.
• Act as liaison between Picking, Broken Reserve & Quality to support order fulfillment.
• Answer product questions such as date/lot code, weight, and packaging details.
• Investigate shipment errors and update inventory stock levels as needed.
• Investigate inventory exceptions when items cannot be located.
• Search for misplaced product and update counts accordingly.
• Update processing quantities in Sales, Material Transport, and Inventory subsystems to match shipped quantities.
• Pick parts in assigned zones to fulfill orders and supplier returns.
• Coordinate with internal departments to correct order/return issues.
• Identify date/lot codes and mark on picking labels when required.
