Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Control Team Member in Rome, NY. You will manage pick locations, support the DC allocation process, and ensure accurate Receiving and reporting. Expect to handle material moves, data entry, and regular audits while operating PIT equipment safely.

The role requires basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows) and preferred experience in a Retail Distribution or Warehouse setting. Overtime and weekend shifts are common in this environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 4–6 months clerical or similar experience in a Retail Distribution or Warehouse environment is preferred.
• Must demonstrate basic Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows.
• Working knowledge of WMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigns pick locations for optimization.
• Performs DC allocation processes efficiently.
• Reconciles Receiving documents to accounting reports.
• Verifies inventory locations and resolves issues across multiple areas.
• Data entry and updates of reports.
• Verifies and releases breakdowns accurately.
• Counts locations as assigned or requested.
• Audits operations within the department.
• Processes merchandise returns to vendor.
• Re-tickets/re-packages merchandise and initiates vendor chargebacks.
• Completes daily PIT checklist and reports defects.
• Operates PIT equipment safely.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Follows safety guidelines and keeps a clean, organized workspace.
• Follows company policies and performs other duties as assigned.
