Job summary

Freudenberg is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage cycle count programs for finished goods and raw materials at our Asheville facility. You will ensure accurate inventory reporting, lot tracking, and proper storage locations while investigating discrepancies through system analysis and audits.

The role requires 5+ years in inventory management, strong SAP and Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across Purchasing, Production Planning, Finance, and Operations to optimize stock

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or inventory management environment.
• Hands-on experience with inventory control, cycle counting, inventory accuracy programs, and discrepancy resolution.
• APICS/ASCM certification in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute cycle count programs for finished goods and raw materials.
• Maintain inventory integrity with accurate product identification, lot tracking, storage locations, and quantity records.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through system analysis, physical audits, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner with Purchasing, Production Planning, Finance, and Operations teams to support optimal inventory levels and accuracy.
• Verify, count, and weigh materials, convert units of measure as needed, and report variances, shortages, overages, and damaged products.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory control processes, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
