Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate inventory of detail and finished goods, support lean processes and on-time delivery. You will pull parts per BOM, stock inventories, and process returns in the ERP/MRP system.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1–2 years of related experience, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency with measuring tools and ability to read drawings are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; without it, a pre-employment assessment is required.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Detail oriented with the ability to use elementary measuring tools i.e. micrometer calipers and electronic calipers.
• Must have the ability to read and understand tolerances on manufacturing drawings.
• Some knowledge of MRP principles.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Experience using computers.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability utilizing good judgment in determining the appropriate guideline, procedure, and application to utilize in solving problems.
• Thorough understanding of process flows, lead times and lean principles in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized inventory
• Responsible for pulling of all detail and finished goods parts per Bill of Materials
• Responsible for stocking and storing of all details and hardware inventories
• Receive all returned parts by completing general receiving report
• Modifies inventory in computerized inventory system to reflect daily transactions and current inventory levels
• Assist other stores personnel in the monthly inventory and the weekly cycle counts.
• Conduct all business transactions and communications in a professional manner congruent to company policy
• Practice safe procedures at all times when using material handling equipment
