Job summary

Murdoch is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain and update inventory levels, perform quality checks, and minimize losses across store operations. The role includes back-up duties to the Receiving Specialist, auditing stock both physically and digitally, and preparing inventory reports.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, excel in a fast-paced retail setting, and demonstrate strong communication with Purchasing, Finance, and store teams.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile inventory differences between physical stock and digital records.
• Track, log and monitor inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Serve as back-up to Receiving Specialist and inspect incoming freight.
• Assist with returns, recalls, and defectives; coordinate with Purchasing/Finance.
• Maintain safe, orderly inventory areas and communicate with vendors and services.
