Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Inventory Clerk to join our Salt Lake City warehouse team. You will help maintain accurate inventory and ensure WMS data matches physical stock while working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years general office experience required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Inventory Control / Cycle Counting experience strongly preferred.
• Warehouse / Distribution Center experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn WMS and various internal applications.
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
• Able and willing to operate various material handling equipment; occasionally moving product in warehouse.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.
• Willingness to complete Penske employment application, background check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure system count matches physical inventory.
• Resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level.
• Look for missing product in storage locations.
• Update WMS to match physical through various methods.
• Research and document root cause.
• Ensure proper rotation of product.
• Analyze reports to identify rotation issues.
• Rotation moved as required.
• Research and document root cause.
• Accurately receive inventory with checkers.
• Audit inbound receipts and documentation.
• Accurately induct cross-dock into inventory.
• Data setup and validation in WMS and applications.
• Audit existing data for inaccuracies.
• Manage unsalable inventory to resolution.
• Document recalls and coordinate with procurement on expiration/holds.
• Record dump or donate and other dispositions.
• Ensure proper signage in distribution center.
• Document and train inventory procedures with inventory management.
• Assist with daily and weekly reports.
• Assist in development and implementation of special projects and tasks.
• All other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
