Job summary

Bell and Evans in Fredericksburg, PA is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for Plant 2 on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory in the BC system and identifying discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

You will process transactions in BC, receive inbound goods, and ensure proper bin movements, while training team members and upholding SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent; 3–6 months related experience acceptable.
• Experience with inventory management and ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to work on 2nd shift and in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain current inventory levels and investigate discrepancies.
• Process transactions in BC: purchase orders, production orders, transfer orders, and inventory adjustments.
• Receive inbound product and materials and ensure accurate bin movements.
• Understand the flow of product through production and how BC records movements.
• Lead, guide, and train team members as needed.
• Follow SOPs and safety/quality guidelines (OSHA, USDA, SQF).

JOB SUMMARY:

An Inventory Control Specialist’s purpose is to maintain an accurate inventory in BC for all products and materials. The focus should be on finding discrepancies between physical inventory levels and what’s shown in the system. It is critical to be active in the warehouse and comfortable with the BC system.

Plant 2: 2nd Shift Available

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors and maintains current inventory levels investigates reoccurring problems
• Ability to process in BC, purchase orders, production orders, transfer orders, inventory adjustments, etc.
• Receive inbound product (WIP, finished goods) and materials
• Understand the physical flow of product through production and how BC processes each movement in and out of inventory
• Ensure proper bin to bin movements in the warehouse
• Troubleshooting BC related problems in all departments, contact Columbus IT if necessary
• Processes and documents return as required following established procedures
• May lead, guide, and train team members
• Ensure all SOPs established for the department are being followed and all guidelines set forth by OSHA, USDA, and SQF are being followed.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
• Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing and safety or quality concerns.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
