Position Overview: The Inventory Control Specialist maintains inventory integrity, manages transactions, and ensures proper internal controls in our Distribution Centers, based in Boise, Idaho, or regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton, CA, Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating inventory adjustments with accounting staff
  • Scheduling and managing physical inventories and cycle counts
  • Monitoring inventory reports and ensuring SOX compliance
  • Overseeing warehouse outs, adjustments, and inventory accuracy
  • Interacting with government agencies and managing fuel inventories
  • Maintaining record retention and resolving excess inventory issues
  • Conducting shipping/receiving audits and performing related duties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to analyze financial data and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Essbase, Lawson/Oracle, QMF, EXE is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

People Management: Experience in personnel decisions and supervising staff is preferred.

Work Environment: Tasks are performed in office and warehouse settings, with potential hazards from machinery and equipment.
