What you will be doing

The Inventory Coordinator maintains inventory integrity across the Distribution Center, ensuring accurate reporting of transactions, proper internal controls, and smooth merchandise flow. This includes managing inventories such as parts, fuel, tires, etc. The position is based in Boise, Idaho, or at one of our regional offices in Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Pleasanton, CA; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; Fullerton, CA; or Phoenix, AZ.

Main responsibilities
  • Coordinate inventory adjustments for damage, spoilage, vendor returns, department changes, pack changes, and recalls with the Accounting Manager.
  • Schedule and oversee physical inventories and cycle counts; prepare recaps for management; review and develop inventory control procedures; resolve shrink issues.
  • Monitor daily/weekly inventory reports and ensure SOX control requirements are met.
  • Manage warehouse outs and inventory adjustments, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with quarterly parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with government agencies such as the FDA and USDA.
  • Oversee fuel inventory reconciliation and hardware control programs.
  • Maintain record retention in compliance with policies.
  • Work with Procurement on excess inventory and monitor store returns and salvage programs.
  • Conduct shipping and receiving audits as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are searching for
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Essbase, Lawson/Oracle, QMF, or EXE is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with good organization and attention to detail.
People responsibilities

Make recommendations on personnel actions, review work of subordinates, and prepare performance reports. Supervise staff, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to company policies.
