Job summary

Uncle Bill's Pet Centers in Zionsville, IN is seeking an Inventory Control team member to manage receipts, storage, and distribution of merchandise. This full-time role focuses on keeping accurate stock levels, reducing discrepancies, and supporting smooth store operations.

You will work with sales and logistics to ensure timely replenishment, conduct regular counts, and use our inventory software to update records.

Qualifications

Basic experience with inventory management or stock handling.
Ability to operate inventory software and basic computer applications.
Ability to stand for long periods. This is a standing position.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move merchandise as required.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy and quality of merchandise.
Organize and store inventory in designated locations to maximize space and accessibility.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock records.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damages to management for resolution.
Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the inventory storage areas.
Utilize inventory management software to update stock levels and generate reports.
Assist in preparing inventory for promotional events or seasonal changes.
