Job summary

PrideStaff in East Knoxville, TN is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate warehouse counts and report findings. You will assist with daily inventory control tasks, audits, and reporting to the warehouse manager, while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The role requires 1 year of inventory experience, PC/Excel proficiency, and forklift certification. This position operates Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–5:00PM, with pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour DOE.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The Inventory Control Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to maintain and report an accurate warehouse count.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assesses inventory reports to maintain accurate daily records and counts
• Conducts frequent spots and partial audits of physical inventory
• Ensure inventory is reported according to company policy
• Recommend warranted inventory adjustments
• Provide inventory control reports to warehouse manager
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Follow prescribed safety regulations

• All other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor under the direction of the Warehouse and Operations Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

COMPUTER AND OFFICE SKILLS

Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of office programs to include, but not limited to, email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software. Experience with Salesforce or another CRM required. Knowledge of company specific software related to job functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of progressive and relevant work experience in inventory control experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and database applications required.
• Working knowledge of Work-In-Progress inventory management and inventory valuation methods needed.

PERSONAL SKILLS

Interface with employees and management. Good time management skills, ability to prioritize duties, ability to multi-task, and a concentrated attention level. Highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful. Keen sense of customer urgency is required as well as excellent customer support. Regular and predictable attendance. Ability to get along with others.
