Job summary

Johnson Brothers is a leading, family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer in Indiana, delivering reliable service since 1953. This role focuses on the daily completion of all inventory cycle counts and research activities to maintain accuracy and balance with the WMS and DISC systems.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in related work, AS400 and Korber/HighJump familiarity, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet applications.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems and barcode scanning technology (Korber/HighJump).
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze issues that affect physical inventory using all resources available to maintain an accuracy level set by management.
• Daily communication with the credit department and others on issues that affect the balance between DISC and WMS, reporting any variances to your manager.
• Process and cycle count issues to ensure customers are properly credited and physical inventory is correct.
• Report any situations that adversely affect inventory to upper management.
• Maintain WMS (Korber/HighJump) functions as directed by your manager.

• Day Shift, Monday – Friday, approximately 7:00am to 3:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position has primary responsibility for the daily completion of all inventory cycle counts and research activities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Research and analyze issues that affect physical inventory by using all resources available to maintain an accuracy level set by management. Daily communicate with the credit department and others on issues that affect the balance between DISC and WMS, reporting any variances to your manager. Process and cycle count issues MRM’s to insure that customers are properly credited and physical inventory is correct. Report any situations that adversely affect inventory to upper management. Maintain WMS (Korber/HighJump) functions as directed by your manager. Included functions:

• Item with no locations
• Slotting items to locations
• Bottle quantities in non-bottle locations
• Items on Hold
• Balance Report

Count and recount items and/or locations from all triggered events incrementing and decrementing inventory as needed. Maintain written explanation on all adjustments and manage the “Major Adjustment Report.” Manage, perform, and report inventory related projects to management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years related experience

Computer Skills:

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet applications
• AS400 experience preferred
• Familiar in the use of Warehouse Management Systems and bar code scanning technology ( Korber/Highjump)

Math Skills:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

Other Requirements:

• Legally permitted to work in the United States
• Use of Warehouse Equipment i.e., Electric Pallet Jack, Stand up Forklift and Stock Picker
