Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a logistics professional to manage inventory and audit processes at our Houston facility. This role publishes weekly counts, coordinates with warehouse supervisors, and delivers audit results, both in writing and electronically.

You will conduct spot audits, assist in trend analysis, and help implement corrective actions as needed. The ideal candidate has strong communication, audit skills, and team collaboration, with proficiency in Excel and office

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory and audit schedules.
  • Coordinates schedules with Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Provides daily written and electronic analysis of audit results.
  • Performs spot audits including unloading, receiving, and shipping; records results in Excel.

Description
Essential Job Functions
  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily -- so that supervisors can assign necessary product, equipment, and human resources needed to complete schedule.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent audit skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Must have the ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred.
Certifications & Licenses
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas
Physical Requirements
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
