Job summary

Lasko Products is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for our Franklin, TN facility. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory levels, implementing improvements, and supporting production and distribution objectives.

The ideal candidate will manage cycle counts, utilize MRP, and collaborate across purchasing and finance. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in inventory management are required, with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure accurate records and timely replenishment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory control and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with corporate purchasing, finance, and site purchasing managers.
• Utilize the MRP system to ensure transactional processes are followed.
• Lead regular inventory reconciliations and correct discrepancies.
• Audit plant material transactions and imported inventory.
• Determine and implement material movement processes.
• Use historical data and forecasting to optimize inventory and reorder points.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory performance and action plans to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in handling inventory.
• Manage a team of 5 cycle counters.

Lasko Products, a market leader in home comfort products for over 100 years, is looking to add a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to our light manufacturing facility in Franklin, TN. The Inventory Control Specialist will help us maintain efficient inventory management practices.

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and implementing process improvements. This role is vital in maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing carrying costs, and supporting the company’s overall production and distribution objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitor inventory levels, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure accurate records and timely replenishment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory control and develop and implement solutions.
• Work cross functionally with corporate purchasing, finance, and site purchasing managers
• Work within the MRP system to ensure transactional processes are being followed
• Lead and perform regular inventory reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement correct actions
• Audit plant material transactions, in addition to monitoring and auditing imported raw materials and finished goods
• Determine and implement processes around material movement within the organization
• Utilize historical data and demand forecasting techniques to optimize inventory levels and reorder points
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, key metrics, and action plans to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in handling and storing inventory
• Manage a team of 5 cycle counters
