Job summary

Lasko Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for its Franklin, TN facility. This 2nd shift role (3:30 pm–12 am) focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs to keep production equipment running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read blueprints, and document maintenance activities. A High School Diploma and 2–3 years of relevant experience are required; teamwork and safety mindset are essential.

Job description

Lasko Products, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is looking to add a Maintenance Technician III to our light manufacturing facility in Franklin.

This will be a 2nd shift role, working the hours of 3:30 pm to 12 am.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify root causes of equipment issues.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Assist in equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments to support production requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and supervisors to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements.
• Install and remove screw guns, tape guns, and other equipment as needed for repair or changeovers.

Competencies and Abilities

• 2–3 years experience in a similar role.
• Ability to think proactively, properly follow instructions, and complete duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work around loud equipment.
• Must be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
• Must be mechanically adept.
• Must possess basic knowledge of tools.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints or equipment manuals.

Required/Desired Education and Experience

• High School Diploma.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to kneel and stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Manufacturing environment exposed to paint, heat, dust, odors, and noise.
