Job summary

Lasko Products is seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost accounting, forecasting, and inventory management across our West Chester, PA and Franklin, TN facilities. This role emphasizes collaboration with operations and engineering to improve cost and production metrics.

You will lead budgeting and monthly reporting, maintain fully costed BOMs, and develop dashboards that cover cost, production, shipping, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 1 in manufacturing.
• Proactive and solid follow up approach.
• Experience documenting process and controls.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Consumer Products manufacturing (preferred).
• ERP experience- QAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and leaders to deliver ad-hoc reporting.
• Develop daily/weekly dashboards and variance analyses to drive cost improvements.
• Lead yearly AOP and forecast updates for labor and overhead in plant and distribution centers.
• Support standard cost roll for manufactured items by updating BOMs and routings.
• Prepare month-end JE’s and reconciliations with variance explanations.
• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory across locations and coordinate physical inventories.
• Develop and implement process controls, including regular cycle counts in the plant.

Job description

Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking a Cost Analyst. This role will be hybrid working from either our West Chester, PA headquarters or Franklin, TN manufacturing facility.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Teaming:
  • Must be collaborative and work with operational stakeholders and leaders
  • Miscellaneous ad-hoc reporting as requested from all finance leadership
• Plant Strategy:
  • Calculate daily CPUs and efficiency reports to help drive improvements in key cost and production areas
  • Develop weekly trending variance analysis, to see performance versus standard
  • Work with engineering to develop easy-to-read daily plant dashboard, that covers all areas including cost, production, shipping, efficiency, and safety
• Forecasting and Budgeting:
  • Lead yearly AOP and periodic forecast updates for all labor and overhead expenses in the plant and distribution centers
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop budgets around headcount, supplies, maintenance and more
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and general plant performance reports, with comparative view to AOP and forecasts
• Cost Accounting and Reporting:
  • Support yearly Standard Cost Roll for manufactured items across facilities by updating BOMs and routings with alignment to yearly AOP
  • Maintain accurate, fully costed BOMs for all WIP and FG inventory throughout the year
• Month End:
  • Prepare monthly JE’s in a timely manner
  • Analyze month end results with comparative view to AOP and forecasts and explain variances
  • Prepare account reconciliations for plant related accrual accounts
• Inventory:
  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory balances across locations, including plants, warehouses, and any outside warehouse as applicable.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct annual physical inventory for relevant facilities.
• Develop, improve and implement process and controls for:
  • All areas above
  • Regular cycle counts in the manufacturing facility

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications needed in addition to the topics above:

• 4+ years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 1 in manufacturing
• Must have a proactive and solid follow up approach
• Experience documenting process and controls
• Strong MS Office skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
