Job summary

Electronic Power Design, Inc. (EPD) seeks an organized Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy across ERP systems and support warehouse and manufacturing operations.

You will manage cycle counts, discrepancies, and material transactions while maintaining data integrity and KPI reporting to drive production efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inventory control, warehousing, or material management experience.
  • Experience working with ERP systems required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize work and support production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Warehouse and Quality teams.
  • Process inventory receipts, issues, adjustments, and material transactions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
  • Manage inventory transactions and data integrity within ERP systems.
  • Generate inventory accuracy reports and KPIs for management review.
  • Track inventory KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Process and document inventory-related NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized records of inventory activities and audits.
  • Coordinate material kitting activities with Warehouse and Manufacturing teams.
  • Support production operations by ensuring accurate inventory visibility.
  • Partner with warehouse personnel to improve inventory tracking processes.
  • Assist with warehouse process improvements and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Help ensure proper material handling and storage practices.
  • Review inventory procedures and recommend process enhancements.
  • Support inventory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train warehouse personnel on inventory procedures and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory SOPs.
  • Promote best practices that improve inventory control and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with inventory control procedures and company policies.
  • Support warehouse safety initiatives and operational audits.
  • Ensure inventory activities align with quality and operational standards.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and support EPD's warehouse and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory records, conducting cycle counts and audits, resolving discrepancies, supporting material availability, and maintaining ERP system integrity. What You'll Do
Inventory Management & Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Warehouse and Quality teams.
  • Process inventory receipts, issues, adjustments, and material transactions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
ERP Administration & Reporting
  • Manage inventory transactions and data integrity within ERP systems.
  • Generate inventory accuracy reports and performance metrics for management review.
  • Track inventory KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Process and document inventory-related NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized records of inventory activities and audits.
Warehouse & Production Support

Coordinate material kitting activities with Warehouse and Manufacturing teams.

  • Support production operations by ensuring accurate inventory visibility.
  • Partner with warehouse personnel to improve inventory tracking processes.
  • Assist with warehouse process improvements and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Help ensure proper material handling and storage practices.
Process Improvement & Training

Review inventory procedures and recommend process enhancements.

  • Support inventory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train warehouse personnel on inventory procedures and best practices.

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing or industrial inventory control experience.

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Global Shop Solutions, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Certified in Inventory Management.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification.
