Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking an Inventory Clerk to compile and maintain records of stocked materials, equipment, and supplies in a fast-paced setting. This role requires attention to detail and reliable attendance to ensure accurate inventory levels.

The position involves counting stock, reconciling records with physical counts, and generating reports on inventory balance and shortages. Ability to work a Sunday-Thursday shift and adapt to temperature-controlled environments is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Must be flexible to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in temperature-controlled zones from -5 F to ambient.
• Observe surroundings, packages, and labels at close and far distances.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain records of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked.
• Report accidents, safety issues, or malfunctions to a supervisor immediately.
• Count stock and post totals to inventory records.
• Compare inventories to office records and compute current inventory.
• Verify clerical counts against physical stock and report discrepancies.
• Prepare reports such as inventory balance and price lists.
• Create lists of depleted items and suggest surveys of defective items.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.

Starting compensation: $21 per hour (a $1.50 shift differential will apply for second shift)

Shift Days: Sunday to Thursday

Shift Hours: Sunday: 12:00 PM to Finish and Monday-Thursday: 2:00 PM to Finish

Summary:

This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment.

Essential Duties:

• Reporting any accidents, injuries, malfunctions on equipment, and safety issues and/or unsafe practices immediately to a Supervisor.
• Counting material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
• Comparing inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
• Verifying clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
• Compiling information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
• Preparing reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
• Preparing list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from -5 F to ambient temperature
• ability to observe surroundings, packages, and labels at both close and far distances
