UC Health is hiring a full time Inventory Control Specialist for IS&T

This position is responsible for the receiving, tracking, ordering, shipping and reporting of all IT equipment within UC Health. The position is responsible for documenting, and tracking, all equipment delivery and disposal. This position also ensures various software applications license compliance on all major shrink wrap applications in use within UC Health.

Responsibilities

Planning, Ordering and Shipping -

  • Works with IS&T staff, department representatives and vendors as necessary to provide support in installation, upgrade, and maintenance of new & current systems within the UC Health.
  • Ensures shipment of equipment to and from UC Health sites, occurring in a timely manner.
  • Functions as a resource to users and IS&T staff when considering hardware and software needs.
  • Gathers, assembles and organizes information for IS&T support for new software/hardware.
  • Understands the PMO process to ensure all project work involving purchase/disposal of assets (hardware/software) are delivered on time.

Hardware Asset Tracking -

  • Tracks all UC Health IT assets by asset tagging and logging in hardware database.
  • Assigns assets to the appropriate site and tracks PO, Project number and /or asset tag #.
  • Ensures all assets are removed from depreciation list and IS&T asset list as assets reach maximum lifecycle and/or have been removed from the environment.
  • Performs periodic checks of assets by site to ensure good asset tracking. (SMS, domain and Hardware spreadsheet).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of experience in all facets of hardware, part number tracking and inventory management preferred.
