Job summary

Merchants Distributors, Inc. (MDI) in Port Saint Lucie, FL seeks a warehouse associate who is bilingual in Spanish and English to manage accurate inventory in Import Mex warehouse. The role requires strong WMS knowledge, pallet jack and lift certification, and a hands-on approach to shipping/receiving tasks.

The candidate will work Monday–Friday, respond to dead items, samples, and new items, and support damaged goods handling with the buyer. Physical lifting up to 65 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a basic skill math test.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with employees at a variety of levels, departments.
• Must be pallet jack and lift certified.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
• Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
• Strong understanding of SQF standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform tasks to maintain accurate inventory in Import Mex warehouse.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper shipping/receiving processes via the WMS system.
• Maintain warehouse slot integrity and slot new items; scan all new items.
• Work in any area and temperature zone as required.
• Operate lift and pallet jack when needed and assist with damaged or salvageable items.
• Coordinate handling, storage and distribution of damaged and salvageable product with buyer and team.
• Reach, lift and stack cases 1 to 65 pounds as needed.
• Meet and comply with standard warehouse productivity and cycle counts.

Overview

Must be Bilingual in Spanish and English

• To manage and perform the tasks required to maintain an accurate inventory within Import Mex warehouse.
• Gestionar y realizar las tareas necesarias para mantener un inventario preciso dentro del almacén de Import Mex.
• Monday- Friday: 12pm to 11 pm.

Responsibilities

• Must have a strong working knowledge of all shipping and receiving functions, and the WMS system. Debe tener un fuerte conocimiento de trabajo de todas las funciones de envío y recepción, y el sistema WMS.
• Maintains warehouse slot integrity and responsible for slotting of new items. Cubescan all new items. Mantiene la integridad de la ranura de almacén y es responsable del ranurado de los nuevos artículos. Escanear todos los productos nuevos.
