Job summary

Merchants Distributors, Inc. (MDI) is seeking a bilingual English/Spanish warehouse associate to manage and perform inventory tasks at the Import Mex warehouse.

You will ensure accurate inventory, operate the WMS system, and coordinate with the buyer on dead items, samples, and new items. The role requires the ability to lift up to 65 pounds, work in various temperature zones, and maintain cycle counts while meeting warehouse productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass a basic skill math test.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of SQF standards.

Responsibilities

• Must have a strong working knowledge of all shipping and receiving functions, and the WMS system.
• Maintains warehouse slot integrity and responsible for slotting of new items. Cubescan all new items.
• Must be able to work in any area and temperature zone.
• Certified to operate a lift and pallet jack when needed.
• Works in conjunction with the buyer to handle dead items, samples and new items.
• Assist in coordinating the handling, storing and distribution of all damaged and salvageable product.
• Must be able to reach, lift, and stack cases ranging from 1 to 65 pounds.
• May be required to perform other tasks, as necessary.
• Meet and comply standard warehouse productivity.
• Maintain a cycle count on schedule of current inventory.

Overview

Must be Bilingual in Spanish and English

• To manage and perform the tasks required to maintain an accurate inventory within Import Mex warehouse.
• Gestionar y realizar las tareas necesarias para mantener un inventario preciso dentro del almacén de Import Mex.
• Monday- Friday: 12pm to 11 pm.

Responsibilities

• Must have a strong working knowledge of all shipping and receiving functions, and the WMS system. Debe tener un fuerte conocimiento de trabajo de todas las funciones de envío y recepción, y el sistema WMS.
