Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Receiving Associate in Parkville, MO to manage merchandise flow from vendors, verify counts, and maintain backroom organization with 5S standards. You will assist customers, ensure items are saleable, and enforce safety and sanitation protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for 2+ years in receiving. Starting pay is $15.00/hour, up to $22.00/hour, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• Preferably two (2) years or more experience in receiving.

Responsibilities

• Oversees vendors bringing merchandise in and out of store; records incoming and outgoing merchandise.
• Verifies counts or weight against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Promotes excellent customer relations; assists customers professionally.
• Ensures product is in saleable condition and rejects damaged items.
• Conducts code date shelf inspections for rotation and freshness.
• Executes reclamation process for damaged or recalled merchandise.
• Contacts vendors to request product or service as needed.
• Reduces shrink by minimizing waste and damages and follows receiving procedures.
• Maintains 5S, sanitation, security in backroom and receiving area.
• Cooperates with coworkers; supports department and store operations.
• Supports cleaning schedules and health/OSHA compliance.
