Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Palmyra, PA seeks a detail-oriented Warehouse/Inventory Specialist to support production and warehouse operations. You will ensure accurate inventory, manage material flow, and collaborate with Production to keep lines stocked and materials moving efficiently.

The role requires strong attention to detail, problem solving, and computer proficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, manufacturing, or production support.
• Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter/retrieve information accurately.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and inventory adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming trailers and verify materials against bills of lading/PO.
• Inspect materials for quantity, ID, and discrepancies or damage.
• Pick and stage materials to support production schedules.
• Ensure materials are accurate and delivered to production areas promptly.
• Verify trailer contents and documentation against billing/shipment info.
• Maintain inventory records in production/warehouse systems.
• Investigate missing, damaged, or misrecorded inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or excess.
• Pick/deliver materials to lines, monitor usage, and return unused materials.
• Ensure finished goods are identified, counted, and transferred to the correct location.
• Follow safety policies, report hazards, and keep the area clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
