Job summary

Land O’Lakes in Mason City, IA, seeks an Inventory & Production Scheduling Coordinator to maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate materials, and align production schedules with customer demand.

This role collaborates with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Customer Service, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure inventory accuracy and timely material availability, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate of $23–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of administrative or inventory control experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and use ERP systems.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing setting and obtain forklift license.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Perform cycle counts and audits, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Record inventory transactions in applicable systems (receipts, transfers, adjustments, consumption).
• Monitor inventory age and identify slow-moving or obsolete materials.
• Reconcile inventory with Warehouse and Accounting teams.
• Review trends and recommend process improvements to reduce losses.
• Develop and maintain production schedules with Planning based on orders, capacity, and availability.
• Coordinate production sequencing to improve efficiency and minimize changeovers and waste.
• Communicate priorities and material requirements to plant personnel and leadership.
• Monitor schedule attainment and adjust plans to meet customer commitments.
• Identify potential shortages and coordinate with teams to address constraints.
• Support work order management and related inventory control activities.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement across plant operations.
