Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services is a leading global materials distributor. This role provides accurate inventory information for company controlled material stock and monitors inventory across multiple branch locations.

You will operate on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery, perform receiving and movement of materials, and ensure precise data entry and tagging to support production and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system.
• Certification to operate material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or from the mill.
• Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.
• Perform data entry in the inventory management system.
• Prepare and maintain inventory identification tags.
• Identify material shortages and issues and communicate to staff.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
• Assist quality assurance in credits related activities.
• Follow health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
