Job description

The Inventory Control Manager oversees stock integrity, inventory auditing, and warehouse control procedures. This role is responsible for maintaining high inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, leading cycle counts, and minimizing shrinkage using inventory management software (ERP/WMS).

Core Responsibilities

• Inventory Accuracy: Lead regular cycle counts and annual physical audits; investigate and resolve stock variances.
• Process Management: Establish standards for receiving, put-away, transfers, and FIFO/FEFO stock rotation to prevent shrinkage and obsolete stock.
• Systems & Reporting: Maintain ERP/WMS inventory records and track key KPIs (turnover, accuracy %, carrying costs, stockout rates).
• Supply Chain Alignment: Partner with Purchasing, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal safety stock and reorder points.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and direct inventory auditors and specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in inventory control or warehouse management, with 1+ years in a supervisory role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) and advanced MS Excel.
• Certifications (Plus): APICS CPIM or CSCP.
