Chadwell Supply in Aurora, CO is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to supervise 5–15 staff, oversee daily cycle counts, and ensure accurate bin locations and inventory records. You will collaborate with the Branch Manager to improve processes, recruit and train new employees, and administer performance reviews.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years in warehouse supervision, fluency in English, ERP knowledge, and experience with cycle counting.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 25 and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• Experience supervising 5–15 staff in a warehouse setting and at least 3 years in warehousing.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English; basic literacy and computer skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse operations.
• Prior experience with cycle counting and inventory control processes.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing work processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring accurate product checking, counting, and stocking.
• Oversee stocking levels to keep picking locations filled for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure products are recorded correctly by bin location and quantity in the computer system.
• Manage inbound receipts from vendors and distribution centers, reviewing packing slips for accuracy.
• Ensure correct bin locations and space allocation, updating bin data as needed.
• Oversee daily inspection of warehouse aisles and safety conditions.
• Supervise daily cycle counting and processing of returns, warranties, and vendor returns.
• Validate cycle counts and ensure timely, accurate completion; support training and performance reviews.

Overview

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the processes and procedures that affect the quantity, quality, and accuracy of product inventory at a Chadwell Supply distribution facility. The Inventory Control Manager performs and oversees the daily cycle counts of products, procedures related to customer warranties, customer and vendor returns and prepares for and oversees the annual physical inventory. He/she also researches product quantity discrepancies and works with the Branch Manager to effect changes as required in processes, procedures, or Inventory Control staff. In addition, he/she participates in the recruiting, hiring, and training of new employees and approves timecards, administers performance reviews, and applies disciplinary measures as appropriate, all while coaching and developing their employees to be successful at Chadwell Supply.

• Be a minimum of 25 years of age.
• Pass all pre-employment, background check, and drug testing.
• Have previous employee supervision experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse working environment.
• Be fluent in reading, writing, understanding and communicating in English.
• Basic literacy skills and excellent computer skills are required for this position.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have working knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse operations.
• Must have prior experience with cycle counting.
• This position requires an ability to learn and adapt to changes in work processes.

How you will make an Impact

• Strive to provide excellent customer service satisfaction through prompt and accurate product checking, counting, and stocking, along with communication with company personnel. Product receiving, checking, counting, and stocking.
• Oversee down stocking from overstock of any products to ensure that warehouse picking locations are filled to enable order pulling efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure that all stocked products are accurately recorded by bin location and quantity in the computer system.
• Oversee Inventory Control department staff in receiving and ensuring that all inbound products from vendors and Distribution Centers are checked and counted against packing slips and review receiving documents for quantity and shipment accuracy.
• Ensure that all products are stocked and shelved in the correct bin locations and that all product bin locations are changed as required for proper bin management and space allocation, and that the quantity in the computer system is correct.
• Oversee the daily inspection of all warehouse product aisles and areas and receive written notification of any unsafe conditions.
• Oversee or perform daily cycle counting, and processing of customer returns, warranties, and vendor returns.
• Verify that all cycle counts performed by Inventory Control are completed promptly and accurately.
• Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and safe
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies while overseeing the return process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely resolution of issues.
