Job summary

Rock Hill Ford in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a team player to support our sales and service operations as an inventory control/lot porter. You will help maintain a clean, organized lot and ensure vehicles are prepped for sale.

Responsibilities include photographing used inventory, updating stock in our inventory management system, coordinating tasks with Sales, Service, and PDI, and helping with vehicle mobility and display standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lot cleanliness and organization and relocate cars as directed by management.
  • Coordinate tasks across Sales, Service, and PDI to prep vehicles for sale.
  • Take photos of all used inventory and upload to inventory system.
  • Transport vehicles within the lot as required.
  • Input vehicle details and keys into the inventory system.
  • Arrange and label pre-owned vehicles on the lot.
  • Check in vehicle inventory on delivery for any damage.
  • Audit parking lots for standards and procedures compliance.
  • Inspect service parking lot for aging or abandoned vehicles.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable for customers.
  • Keep vehicles started and gas tanks full.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Rock Hill Ford is growing and seeking a team player to support our sales and service operations. The inventory control/lot porter position is essential for the dealership's smooth functioning and to help our team excel in their daily tasks. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain lot cleanliness and organization by relocating cars as instructed by management, following dealership display standards.
  • Coordinate tasks across Sales, Service, and PDI departments to prep new and used vehicles for sale.
  • Take interior and exterior photos of all used inventory and upload into the inventory management system for the website.
  • Transport vehicles within the lot and to other areas as required.
  • Input vehicle details and keys into the computerized key tracking system.
  • Arrange and label pre-owned vehicles on the lot.
  • Check in vehicle inventory when delivered to ensure no damage
  • Perform audits of all parking lots to ensure compliance with parking standards and company procedures.
  • Inspect the service parking lot for aging vehicles and notify the service manager of potentially abandoned vehicles.
  • Conduct checks on vehicles on the sales lot to ensure cleanliness and professional appearance for customers.
  • Ensure vehicles are regularly started to maintain battery life.
  • Confirm full gas tanks and that no vehicles are empty.
  • Carry out any other assigned duties.
Qualifications
