Job summary

Rock Hill Ford is seeking a dependable inventory control/lot porter to support our sales and service teams. You will keep the lot organized, move vehicles as directed, take photos of used inventory, and prep cars for sale.

Prior automotive experience is preferred; you must multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Ideal candidates have a professional demeanor, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lot cleanliness and organize vehicles per management.
• Coordinate prep across Sales, Service, and PDI.
• Take interior and exterior photos and upload to inventory system.
• Transport vehicles within the lot as required.
• Input vehicle details and keys into the tracking system.
• Arrange and label pre-owned vehicles on the lot.
• Check in vehicle inventory upon delivery for damage.
• Perform audits of parking lots for standards compliance.
• Inspect service parking lot for aging vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles start regularly and fuel tanks are full.
• Carry out any other assigned duties.

Rock Hill Ford is growing and seeking a team player to support our sales and service operations. The inventory control/lot porter position is essential for the dealership's smooth functioning and to help our team excel in their daily tasks. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lot cleanliness and organization by relocating cars as instructed by management, following dealership display standards.
• Coordinate tasks across Sales, Service, and PDI departments to prep new and used vehicles for sale.
• Take interior and exterior photos of all used inventory and upload into the inventory management system for the website.
• Transport vehicles within the lot and to other areas as required.
• Input vehicle details and keys into the computerized key tracking system.
• Arrange and label pre-owned vehicles on the lot.
• Check in vehicle inventory when delivered to ensure no damage
• Perform audits of all parking lots to ensure compliance with parking standards and company procedures.
• Inspect the service parking lot for aging vehicles and notify the service manager of potentially abandoned vehicles.
• Conduct checks on vehicles on the sales lot to ensure cleanliness and professional appearance for customers.
• Ensure vehicles are regularly started to maintain battery life.
• Confirm full gas tanks and that no vehicles are empty.
• Carry out any other assigned duties.
