Job summary

Reeder Distributors Inc. seeks an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee comprehensive inventory operations across fuel equipment, fuel and lube products, and construction project inventory.

You will lead cycle counts, reconcile variances, and develop procedures to ensure accurate tracking and operational excellence. You will manage receiving, transfers, and warehousing activities, collaborate across departments, and drive continuous improvement in inventory control and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inventory management, warehouse management, or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing large and diverse inventories across multiple product categories.
• Experience with BOMs and manufacturing inventory processes.
• Strong understanding of inventory control procedures, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with ERP, warehouse management, or inventory systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams and drive accountability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
• Forklift and warehouse operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain accurate inventory levels across all divisions and warehouse locations.
• Lead daily inventory control activities including Receiving, Transfers, Staging, Returns, Adjustments, Inventory transactions, and Warranties.
• Monitor inventory movement and ensure transactions are documented in the ERP system.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Develop and manage a cycle count program for all inventory categories.
• Lead warehouse teams in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Reconcile month-end variances and report to leadership.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Reconcile liquid inventory balances with sales, deliveries, and usage.
• Support inventory controls to minimize losses and recording errors.
• Establish and improve inventory control procedures and workflows.
• Create standardized inventory processes across departments/locations.
• Analyze inventory trends and suggest improvements to reduce shrinkage.
• Ensure inventory practices support efficiency and customer service.
• Develop procedures for handling, counting, measuring, and tracking liquid inventory.
• Lead and train warehouse and inventory personnel; promote accountability.
• Coordinate with purchasing, operations, sales, accounting, and service departments to maintain integrity.
• Generate inventory reports, variance analyses, and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist forecasting needs.
