Responsibilities

• Monitor department performance and assure optimum operation; suggest revisions to procedures as needed.
• Drive for shortest processing time on all received material and propose recovery methods.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and visual aids are up to date and in proper working order.
• Provide frequent and accurate feedback to Inventory Control and Quality departments and assist with scheduling, equipment, documentation, and personnel issues.
• Interface with departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management, and other plant operations.
• Maintain accuracy of records for shipping, receiving and stockroom documents.
• Verify aging of material in receiving and shipping locations and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure production line receives the correct parts for manufacturing.
• Ensure materials are stocked promptly and accurately.
• Eliminate errors that impact quality, budget and department efficiency.
• Identify performance issues and strengths for Inventory Control supervisors.
• Adhere to safety and health rules and company security procedures; may perform other duties as assigned.
