Job summary

Lane Automotive is hiring an Inventory Control Equipment Operator to ensure inventory accuracy and manage physical locations using manual and powered equipment. The role includes counting, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining Trend records.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, a PIT license or ability to obtain one, and the willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Powered Industrial Truck License required/ability to obtain.
• Not acrophobic (afraid of heights).

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily review of inventory levels on hand, cycle counts, discrepancies, slotting, and attributes.
• Perform daily cycle counts; identify and resolve corrections to inventory and bin locations.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by resolving inbound receipt and shipping discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation within Trend to ensure record accuracy with discrepancies and credits.
• Research and analyze purchase orders/sales orders and product to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Kitting assembly/disassembly to maintain inventory levels matched to sales demand.
• Propose inventory control process improvements.
• Stock products within storage locations in a neat and orderly manner.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Consolidate products to maximize space utilization.
• Work in a team environment.
• Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, policies, training, and regulations.
• Ensure established policies and procedures are followed.
• Participate in continuous improvement project team activities.
• Housekeeping of distribution center including cleaning, organizing, dusting, sweeping, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Inventory Control Manager

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring accuracy of inventory as it relates to the physical locations and the inventory systems in place. The Equipment Operator is responsible for pulling inventory, put-away, consolidation, and item maintenance of product, using manual and powered material handling equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

This is a General Warehouse position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
