Job summary

Performance Food Group in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure accurate inventories and efficient warehouse operations. You will monitor quantities, values, and records of materials across a multi-temperature environment, while maintaining cycle counts and shrink targets.

The role requires 1+ years of inventory experience, strong math and Excel skills, and the ability to lift up to 60–90 lbs. Overtime, drug test, and background check are part of the process.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to communicate information accurately and apply strong math skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and intermediate general computer skills.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts inventory records.
• Compares inventories to office records or computed figures.
• Verifies computations against physical count and adjusts discrepancies.
• Maintains receipts or disbursements of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
• Monitors inventory rotations and makes recommendations as needed.
• Prepares reports such as inventory balances and weekly cycle counts.
• Reviews and investigates daily reports.
• Maintains shrink at or below company standard.
• Prepares lists of depleted items and suggests surveys of defective items.
