Job summary

Clarios in St. Joseph, MO is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to manage daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate material transactions onsite at the St. Joseph Distribution Center.

The role reports to the Production Control Manager within Manufacturing Operations and emphasizes inventory accuracy and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook, and be willing to obtain

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and determine root causes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to become certified and safely operate a scissor lift as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts of production components and inventory locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement or recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Operations, Offsite Warehouse, and Suppliers to ensure accurate and timely material transactions.
• Perform receiving functions and tracking of inbound inventory.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and resolve inventory variances in a timely manner.

What you will do

Inventory Control Coordinator reports to the Production Control Manager, part of the Manufacturing Operations business unit. This role is located onsite in the plant.

How you will do it

• Perform daily cycle counts of production components and inventory locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement or recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Operations, Offsite Warehouse, and Suppliers to ensure accurate and timely material transactions.
• Perform receiving functions and tracking of inbound inventory.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and resolve inventory variances in a timely manner.

What we look for

Required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and determine root causes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to become certified and safely operate a scissor lift as required.

Preferred

• Previous experience in Inventory Control, Material Analysis, Production Control, Warehouse Operations, or a related field
• Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of inventory control best practices, material flow processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
