Job summary

Raymour & Flanigan in the United States is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to classify, label and warehouse showroom and customer service center inventory, and to perform quarterly and year-end counts.

This role requires strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including holidays and weekends to maintain accurate stock levels and timely replenishment across locations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Classifying, labeling and warehousing all product inventory for future use.
• Conduct quarterly and year-end physical inventories across showrooms and service centers.
• Reconcile inventory records for accurate counts.
• Log incoming inventory purchases and assist loss prevention investigations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and report shortages monthly.
• Coordinate logistics to meet promised ship dates and transfers between locations.
• Develop, maintain and enforce proper practices for product lines.
• Improve operations and streamline processes with cross-department collaboration.

• Responsible for accurate quarterly and year end physical inventory for all showrooms and customer service centers within the region.
• Reconcile the inventory records for a complete and accurate count.
• Assist the receiving and shipping department in logging all incoming inventory purchases and loss prevention department with any investigation when required.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Report shortages, overages and all inventory levels monthly for replenishment.
• Assist inventory control manager with allocation of resources, training, safety, efficiency and execution to promised delivery.
• Coordinate: logistic distribution plan for material where quantity or deliveries could impact promised ship dates, availability of all necessary product and scheduling and release of product and transfer process between locations.
• Develop, maintain and enforce proper practices for product lines.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with all departments as well as vendors/suppliers to provide quality seamless customer service.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory software; proficiency in PC-based applications and attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
• Available to work a flexible retail operations schedule including holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of furniture up to and in excess of 100 lbs.
• Unload shuttle inventory trucks.
• In the process of moving furniture, accessories, boxes and packages from one location to another, the inventory control coordinator must lift, bend, stoop, reach, twist, push and pull.
