Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to maintain accurate inventory records and manage materials in the warehouse and production environment. You will support receiving, cycle counting, inventory transactions, and accuracy initiatives.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ERP/WMS proficiency, and collaboration across teams. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis is essential for sustaining inventory control and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years relevant experience; or associate degree preferred with up to 2 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP/warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records with timely ERP transactions.
  • Pick and stage materials for production orders and internal requests.
  • Post receipts for incoming raw materials and finished goods.
  • Perform inventory put-away and store materials in designated locations.
  • Create/process ERP transactions and inventory journals (movements, adjustments, transfers, scrap).
  • Create/maintain/modify inventory locations in physical storage and ERP systems.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy; investigate variances/shortages/overages and discrepancies.
  • Perform cycle counts and support annual physical inventory.
  • Resolve discrepancies using transaction reviews and root-cause analysis.
  • Support inventory audits with accurate documentation.
  • Verify labels, quantities, item/lot/batch info, and storage conditions.
  • Maintain traceability and FIFO/FEFO compliance where applicable.
  • Consolidate materials and optimize storage space.
  • Support scrap reporting, adjustments, and disposition.
  • Pull/load/transport/unload inventory as required.
  • Track and communicate inventory control metrics; identify process improvements.

Position Summary

Required/Preferred Skills
  • Strong attention to detail; inventory accuracy focus.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, material flow, and warehouse operations.
  • Analytical/troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills.
  • ERP/warehouse management systems proficiency; learn and effectively utilize systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal/written communication; independent work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
  • Basic math/data analysis; willingness to adapt and support continuous improvement.
  • May require certification to safely operate powered pallet jacks/forklifts (if required).
Physical/Working Conditions
  • Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
  • Stand/walk frequently; lift up to 50 lbs; frequent bending/reaching/stooping; work in cooler/freezer environments; safely operate material-handling equipment as required.
