Job summary

Zimmer Biomet seeks an Inventory Control Coordinator to manage field and distributor inventory both physically and systemically, monitoring variances, reconciling data, and generating regular reports to support goals and protect assets.

The role starts fully remote for 2026 and shifts to a hybrid model in 2027 with on-site work in Warsaw, IN or Jacksonville, FL. Expect collaboration with sales and operations while adhering to FDA/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related experience in inventory or med device environment.
• Experience with inventory control practices and data analysis.
• Excel experience required; SMS/XA experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Investigates inventory variances and identifies root causes with cross‑functional teams.
• Researches, dispositions, and reports disputed inventory in a timely manner.
• Reviews and reconciles missing/late inventory reports daily.
• Facilitates return/exchange of expired or calibrated products between warehouse and field personnel.
• Controls the movement of inventory and data integrity across systems.
• Conducts research for product recalls as necessary.
• Generates weekly/monthly and ad‑hoc reports.
• Manages communications related to termination of distributor inventory accounts.
• Complies with FDA QSR and ISO standards and follows SOPs.
• Assists with strategic inventory requests and fulfillment.
• Coordinates asset placement and recovery with sales and operations.
• Manages inventory outflow and variance resolutions.
• Assists with brand rationalization recovery and disposition efforts.

What You Can Expect

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for the control and communication around field/distributor inventory both physically and systematically, through monitoring, traceability, and reconciliations. This position supports all department goals, especially those that seek to optimize field inventory levels and protect company assets while elevating the satisfaction of the customer’s experience.

This role will start as fully remote for the remainder of 2026, but will transition to a hybrid position in 2027 requiring on-site presence in either Warsaw, IN or Jacksonville, FL. Please only apply if you are within a commutable distance to either location.

How You'll Create Impact

• Investigates inventory variances and works cross-departmentally to identify root cause and recommend solutions.
• Responsible for the timely research, disposition, and reporting of disputed inventory.
• Review and reconcile missing/late inventory reports on a daily basis.
• Facilitates the return/exchange of expiry dated/calibrated products between warehouse and field personnel, as required.
• Controls the systematic movement of inventory and data integrity.
• Conducts research as necessary for product recalls.
• Generates regular weekly/monthly reporting as well as all ad-hoc reporting.
• Manages all communication and administrative functions related to the termination of distributor inventory accounts.
• Various other administrative duties as assigned or requested.
• Perform duties in compliance with applicable regulations and standards such as FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
• Follow all standard operating procedures, written and oral, at all times.
• Assist with strategic inventory request and fulfillment.
• Monitor and assist with asset placement and recovery through cross functional collaboration with sales and operations.
• Manage inventory outflow of loose inventory requests.
• Manage resolution on asset return variances.
• Assist with brand rationalization recovery and disposition efforts.

Your Background

• 2+ years related experience.
• Experience within the medical device industry preferred.
• Experience with Inventory Control practices and data analysis.
• Excel experience required.
• SMS and XA experience and proficiency preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Travel Expectations

• Up to 5%

This role has a pay range of $18.87/hr - $23.60/hr + bonus
