Job summary

Illinois Tool Works is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for Orbitalum North America, based in Carol Stream, IL. The Coordinator will join our operations team to receive, stock, and manage Orbitalum inventory to maximize on‑time delivery to our customers.

You will work with purchasing, warehouse, and shipping teams, prepare requisitions, track orders, and maintain accurate part numbers while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience with inventory management, purchasing, or shipping/receiving, or other relevant experience.
• Aptitude with computers and office software, ability and willingness to learn our in‑house software suite.
• Strong problem‑solving, organization, and time‑management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work overtime if required.
• Detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase requisition with input and oversight from management.
• Track open purchase orders and due dates.
• Develop familiarity with our products and part numbers.
• Receive shipments and check them for accuracy.
• Inspect incoming product for defects.
• Modify, combine, and/or separate received product into final product.
• Stock products in the warehouse in assigned locations.
• Manage warehouse layout for best productivity.
• Interface with sales department to provide stock and ship date information.
• Interface with shipping/receiving department to communicate part bin locations and coordinate incoming shipments.
• Interface with suppliers to resolve product and shipping defects and coordinate shipments.
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.
