Job summary

Pelican Products is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk I in South Deerfield, MA to support cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and ensure materials flow smoothly through our manufacturing operation.

You will partner with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments, maintain accurate ERP records, analyze variances, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of inventory control, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience performing inventory counts, reconciliations, or inventory analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, packaging, and inventory throughout the facility.
• Review inventory records and ERP system data to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Research inventory variances by reviewing transactions, documentation, and material movement.
• Partner with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory issues and minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous inventory improvements.
• Conduct physical inventory audits and assist with scheduled inventory counts.
• Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory accuracy.
• Help maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting Pelican's commitment to Quality and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
